The Palacio Provincial and the Casería Escalona in Jaén are going to turn off their lights on Saturday, March 28th, 2020 at 8.30 pm (Earth Hour).
The Palacio Provincial and the Casería Escalona in Jaén are going to turn off their lights on Saturday, March 28th, 2020 at 8.30 pm (Earth Hour). This action was promoted in order to raise awareness on issues such as environmental sustainability and climate change. Additionally, this action aims to raise awareness about measures to combat climate change promoted by WWF, the largest international and independent organization focused on the defence of nature and environment.
The Diputación has been joined this campaign for ten years. According to Mr. Pedro Bruno (Agriculture, Environment and Climate Change) it is important to encourage all the jiennenses “to put their grain of sand to attract attention and seek solution that can contribute to a more sustainable future”.
