According to Diputación de Jaén, the Palacio Provincial is going to turn on their lights in golden tones throughout the month of September 2020. This action was promoted in order to raise awareness on childhood cancer and other childhood diseases.
According to Diputación de Jaén, the Palacio Provincial is going to turn on their lights in golden tones throughout the month of September 2020. This action was promoted in order to raise awareness on childhood cancer and other childhood diseases. By promoting this action, the Diputación joined the international campaign promoted by the Federación Española de Padres de Niños con Cáncer. In addition to the palace lighting, a golden ribbon has been placed on the facade of the Palacio Provincial.
As reported: “this year, the slogan ‘Contagious illusion!” has been promoted. We want to raise awareness on the current situation that we are living in our country with respect to the Covid-19 pandemic, since cancer and its treatments can weaken the immune system. This means that people with cancer are often at higher risk of infection and disease and are treated as risk patients.”
The Diputación has joined this campaign six times. The campaign is entitled “¡Enciende la esperanza, enciéndelo en oro!” (“Light Hope, Light It Gold!”).
This is a great initiative in order to support the children and families affected by childhood cancers.
